堰そのものは高さがないために，日本でいうところの「ダム」という言葉は合わず，貯水池という言葉の方が合う。讃岐の満濃池のようなイメージだろうか。＠烏山頭水庫 Because the weir itself is not high, the word "dam" in Japanese is not suitable, "reservoir" is more suitable...I rememberd the same image, Mannoh pond 満濃池 at Sanuki, in Kagawa Pref. @Wushantou Reservoir
